A local convention that I go to is CanGames, Canada's longest-running gaming convention. Role-playing, board gaming, miniatures, cards, all are welcome.

Anyways, this year I did the illustration for the flyer and the T-shirt. The theme of the year was "Rise Again", and I did a couple of fantasy and historical sketches. The comittee liked the stylized Spanish Civil War one above, especially due to the clear black/white deliniations, and that doing an American Civil War one is a bit too politically sensitive.
The flag is not the CanGames logo, but a simplified version of the MacKenzie-Papineau Batallion's flag with all the text removed. The Mac-Paps were Canadians who fought in the International Brigade against the fascists in Spain.
